Former D1 swimmer and CFP® Matt Jude helps young athletes build a strong financial future.

Transcript

I remember being in college and swimming as a D one athlete and trying to balance practices and academics. And I can only imagine for these young student athletes today who are very successful and might have a major sum of money coming to them, uh, trying to balance all those things and figure out what’s the best next step. And so at Rebalance we want to help those people and we want to help them set themselves up for, uh, a really great future young athletes who are having some success and maybe have a windfall ahead of them. You know, they have the capacity and ability to be disciplined with that money because they’ve been disciplined their whole life so far with their, uh, athletics and probably with their academics as well. For many of them, they might just need, uh, a little bit of a helping hand to, um, just a little bit of guidance to sort of redeploy the skills that they already have, uh, toward their finances to be successful. And learning to balance all of those things and, and figure out how to, uh, put that money to work for yourself is a huge task to overcome. And I think if they are, are prudent, they can really set themselves up for a great future.
