Sally Brandon: One piece of advice I would give other women is to be an active participant in your finances and to ask a lot of questions. I think often times it’s easier for us to defer to somebody else on finances, but I think it’s really important for us to be involved. I know that for a long time I kind of turned a blind eye to how we invested our money within our family and I think that it’s really important to understand how your money is invested and what your options are.
